Posteriormente, el Decreto 758 de 1988 establece que las instituciones de Formaci\u00f3n T\u00e9cnica Profesional se consideran establecimientos p\u00fablicos de educaci\u00f3n superior del orden nacional adscritos al Ministerio de Educaci\u00f3n Nacional. El Acuerdo 011 del 28 de octubre de 2015 del Consejo Directivo del INFOTEP, aprueba dotar a la Instituci\u00f3n Nacional de Formaci\u00f3n T\u00e9cnica Profesional de San Andr\u00e9s y Providencia
