REDTTU PURPOSE AND ACTIVITIES

CORPORATE PURPOSE. The Corporate Purpose of RED DE INSTITUCIONES TÉCNICAS PROFESIONALES, TECNOLÓGICAS Y UNIVERSITARIAS PÚBLICAS –REDTTU– (Professional Technical, Technological and University Public Institutions Network) strives to strengthen the institutional and academic aspects of the institutions which comprise it, as well as technical and technological education in the country as a key axis for competitiveness and development; it seeks to integrate the entities which comprise it by way of activities related to academia, teaching, research and outreach, in addition to supporting the management and execution of public and private sector plans and projects.

Paragraph: In the performance of its corporate purpose, the PROFESSIONAL TECHNICAL, TECHNOLOGICAL AND UNIVERSITY PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS NETWORK may:

  1. Promote and facilitate academic exchange of students, teachers and administrative personnel between associate institutions in the form of internships, transfers, commissions, national and international exchange programs and other arrangements which are consistent with the institutional interests of REDTTU.
  2. Implement non-refundable cooperation actions and manage financial and technical resources to support educational projects undertaken by REDTTU, seeking to create closer ties between educational systems with other countries through the exchange of meaningful experiences.
  3. Coordinate the provision of continuing education services, in addition to technological services in order to contribute to REDTTU´s management autonomy and economic independence.
  4. Drive the development of collaboration agreements with the productive sector to maintain and consolidate relevant and quality education.
  5. Perform activities that favor the full academic integration of member institutions, particularly in the execution of shared development programs, plans and projects which benefit associated institutions.
  6. Foster the strengthening of Professional Technical, Technological and University Education.
  7. Undertake coordinated actions to develop teaching, research and outreach programs, plans and projects in all fields of knowledge, in favor of the associated institutions and the academic community.
  8. Enter into contracts and agreements with public and private sector entities, whether national, international, regional or territorial, to manage resources allocated to project management, execution or evaluation, pursuant to laws currently in force.
  9. Enter into contracts and agreements for the performance of its corporate purpose subject to applicable law, and to the regulations which govern entities of this nature and pursuant to these bylaws.
  10. Exercise rights and undertake obligations, pursuant to its legal status, and accept donations or legacies to perform its corporate purpose.
  11. Perform consulting activities such as project management and execution at any stage, funded with public or private resources, a well as all other consulting activities provided by law, with the support of qualified human talent.
  12. Foster the institutional integration of member entities, as well as the academic, cultural and economic development of the region in which the associated Higher Education Institutions operate.
  13. Act as a management and reflection instrument in order to contribute to strengthening the design of higher education public policies in the country.
  14. Perform activities to improve the infrastructure of the Institutions that comprise REDTTU, through the implementation of innovative projects that lead to the maximum utilization of technical and technological infrastructure, both in administrative and in academic processes.
  15. Procure the www.redttu.edu.co public domain in order to disseminate the REDTTU mission and its programs, and promote its interests.
